Crawling and indexing
Can Google reach every page you want found, and is it skipping the ones you don't? We check your sitemap, robots.txt, noindex tags and Search Console's page indexing report. A surprising number of sites launch with a "don't index" setting left on from development.
Redirects and broken links
Old URLs should point one-to-one to their new homes with 301 redirects. We find redirect chains, loops, links to dead pages and blanket redirects to the homepage, which throw away the value an old page had built up.
Speed and Core Web Vitals
How fast your pages show content and respond to taps, especially on phones. Heavy scripts, unoptimized images and render-blocking fonts are the usual culprits. Our Core Web Vitals article explains the measures in plain language.
Page structure
One H1 per page that says what the page is about, headings in order, unique titles and meta descriptions, and no two pages competing for the same search.
Schema markup
Structured data that tells Google your business name, service area, phone and services. We check that it's valid and that it matches what's on your Google profile. See schema for contractors.
Duplicate and thin pages
Copy-paste city pages and near-empty service pages can drag a whole site down. We flag them and suggest whether to merge, improve or remove them.
