Bilingual SEO
French searches are their own searches
Someone searching "plombier Ottawa" or "dentiste Orléans" isn't going to land on your English page, and Google won't send them there. If you want those customers, you need real French pages, with their own URLs, titles and content.
Set up so the two versions help each other
Language tags (hreflang) tell Google which version is which. Done right, your English and French pages support each other instead of competing. Done wrong, one can quietly push the other out of results.
Your Google Business Profile in both languages
Your profile description, services and posts can reflect that you serve customers in both languages. That's often the first thing a French-speaking customer sees.
