Case study

Spectrum Veterinary Imaging

A veterinary ultrasound practice that needed a website, email and domains it could trust. We shipped a fully coded 23-page site in 14 days and moved everything underneath it onto secure, compliant infrastructure.

Veterinary ultrasound and specialist imaging practice

How to verify this

Spectrum Veterinary Imaging agreed to be named, so the easiest check is to open spectrumultrasound.ca and look at the work yourself. Every page, form, photo and video on it is live. This study is new, so it has no traffic or lead numbers yet, and we are not going to guess at them. What you can count today is what we counted: the pages that shipped and the days it took.

The brief

Spectrum does abdominal ultrasound and echocardiography for veterinary clinics, with studies reported by certified imaging specialists. Their audience is two groups at once: vets deciding where to refer a patient, and pet owners trying to understand what that referral means. The old setup worked against both. Email ran through a small IONOS mailbox with no real security or compliance controls, the domains were spread across registrars, and the website did not explain the services in the depth a referring vet expects. The brief was to fix all of it in one go: a proper website, secure email, domains in one safe place, and forms that actually reach the right inbox.

What we did

  1. Build a fully coded 23-page website

No page builder and no template. Every page was written and coded for this practice: abdominal ultrasound, echocardiography, on-site and regional service, education, equipment and support, additional diagnostics, referrals, and pages written for pet owners. Each one loads fast and reads cleanly on a phone.

  2. Move email from IONOS to Microsoft 365

We migrated every mailbox off IONOS onto Microsoft 365 with proper security and compliance settings, including sender authentication so their mail stops landing in spam. For a practice handling patient referrals, that was the part that mattered most behind the scenes.

  3. Transfer the domains to Cloudflare

All domains now sit in one Cloudflare account with DNS, SSL and protection handled in one place. No more renewals scattered across providers, and no single forgotten login that could take the site or the email down.

  4. Wire referral and contact forms to email

Referral and contact forms send each submission straight to the right inbox, so a vet sending a patient over never has to wonder whether the form went anywhere.

  5. Add real photo and video

Photography and video are built into the pages so visitors can see the practice and the equipment, not stock images. It gives referring vets and pet owners a clear picture of who they are dealing with before they call.

Why the email move mattered as much as the website

A new website is the part people see. The email and domains are the part that breaks when nobody is looking. Moving off a small IONOS mailbox onto Microsoft 365, and putting the domains in one Cloudflare account, means referrals arrive reliably, mail is authenticated, and the practice owns and controls everything its business runs on.

What these numbers do not show

This study shows what was built, not what it has produced yet. The site is new, so there is no traffic, ranking or referral data to report, and we will not estimate any. When there is a real measurement window, the numbers will be added here with their source and dates, the same way they are on our other studies.

The numbers

Counted, not compared

These have no percentage beside them because they have no baseline to divide by. Stating a change from nothing as a percentage is the oldest trick on a results page, and it is not a number.

Questions about this study
Can I see the site?
Yes. It is live at spectrumultrasound.ca. Everything described on this page, including the forms, photos and video, is on the real site right now.
Was this built with a template or page builder?
No. Every one of the 23 pages was coded by hand for this practice. That keeps it fast, gives full control over layout and search markup, and means nothing on it looks like a site you have seen before.
Why are there no traffic or lead numbers?
Because the site is new and we do not publish numbers we have not measured. Once there is a real window of data, it will be added here with the tool it came from and the dates it covers.
Can you move our email and domains too?
Yes. We migrated this practice from IONOS to Microsoft 365 and moved their domains to Cloudflare as part of the same project, with no lost mail. We can do the same for your business alongside a new site.
Other studies
  • Chinook Auto Sales, Calgary

A used-car dealership whose website listed inventory and gave nobody a way to act on it. Four months after the rebuild, 260 enquiries had come through forms that did not previously exist.

  • Two storefronts, one year apart

Two locations, two measurement windows, and one of them went nowhere. Profile views nearly quadrupled and the actions that produce revenue grew with them - then a later month doubled impressions and moved clicks by three per cent.
